Buffalo Harbor - Foot of Main Street, 1890s

The foot of Main Street at around the 1890's. At right is the wharf between Main & Washington Streets, occupied by the Northern Steamship Company. The elevator at top left of the photo is the Brown Elevator. Travelers boarded steamships from the foot of Main Street from the 1830's through the 1950s.
